REVIEW: SHISEIDO Skincare's Benefiance - Is it worth the pricetag?

While wandering around Macy's, I discovered the Shiseido cosmetics retail counter. Upon learning about Shiseido products, I decided that I would try out the Benefiance~WrinkleResist 24 line. The woman at the cosmetics counter sold me on "looking younger for longer". Worth a try, right?

            PACKAGING

The packaging was lovely and trendy, everything you'd expect to get for the price point. Beautiful bottles, packaged nicely.

Initially, I was rather skeptical that a product set could make an extreme difference in my skin. I am not aging horribly, and most women at 30 have just started looking at skincare that can increase the odds in the aging game. I have been messing around with anti aging creams since I was about 20 years old and previously had been using their pricier line, Future Solution LX, on and off. I call it preventative maintenance.

       For The Love Of SHISEIDO

The first product I tried from Shiseido's Benefiance line was the extra creamy cleansing foam. I followed the enclosed instructions for application:
"using a small amount of cleanser and water, create a generous lather and                                     cleanse gently with circular motions. Rinse well."

The wash felt very creamy, and had specs of an orange color. Nutrients? After using the cleanser, my face felt very moisturized. I moved on to the WRINKLERESIST 24 balancing softener. The directions read:

"Saturate a cotton pad and wipe gently over face after cleanser"

This softner felt much like any other astringent, and had all the same results. I promptly decided to move foward and open the WRINKLERESIST 24 day emulsion broad spectrum SPF 18. Again, I followed all directions:

"Smooth over face each morning after cleanser and softening lotion"

The lotion was very, very light. It's very different from the more expensive lotion I use by Shiseido. I think this particular line does the trick at the budget. I however love the Future Solution LX line. I think I just prefer a richer cream, as long as it doesn't leave eraser like particles on my face when I put on my makeup. Would I suggest this? Yes. If you have a budget, this could be the best option for you. With Future Solution LX products starting around $200 or so, this may be a much better option for your pocketbook. The entire Shiseido Benefiance WRINKLERESIST 24 Line ranges under $50 or so...sometimes you can get a starter set for $50...Great deal!!! I think it's worth a try, Right???
